The Last Day of the year is Finally Here. And I'm Sitting happy at The Prospect of Getting the Next three days off...A rarity considering the fact that I have been Working On New Year's Eve and On New Year's day for the past three years. In fact Last year I was down With Fever and ended up sleeping at home on New Year's day.
This Year has been fairly good for me In most aspects. There have been changes Galore on the Personal front as well as at work. I have made New Friends In Bangalore. And I'm getting along well with most of them, which is not quite normal since I'm very choosy about Socialisng and stuff. Maybe the fact that all of us are away from home is a common factor that makes us get along well. We don't have a plan yet for New year's eve, but I'm sure that whatever comes up last minute will be worth it....at least I'm hoping for it to turn out well.
Also, Hopefully, I will be making a trip back home This month. Much needed and well deserved;)
So, Wish you all a Very Happy New Year...and Hope that we achieve all that we've been aiming for! Cheers!

Weekend Thoughts
So, the weekend didn't turn out bad after all. A couple of my colleagues come down to Banagalore for a training session and they were insisting that I show them around Bangalore. Considering the fact that I myself haven't been around the city much, I think I did a good job showing them around MG road, Vidhan Soudha, High court and Cubbon Park. I myself haven't been to most of these places in years.
Saw Chameli late night Saturday on TV. Read a bit. Sunday was spent in cleaning the house and rearranging the space that I call My Kitchen;) Shopped a bit for stuff too. The evening was spent at NASA on MG road.
I have been reading Shantaram since august now. I wonder why it's taking me so long to finish a book that's so good. Besides it's literary brilliance, it's written from the heart. The thoughts expressed are so real. There's so much of truth in it....kinda difficult to remember it all. Here's a small piece at the end of part 2; How Sad and true!
" Sometimes we love with nothing more than hope. Sometimes we cry with everything except tears. In the end, that's all there is: love and it's duty, sorrow and it's truth. In the end, that's all we have - to hold on tight until the dawn"
Ah! The sweet pain of love!

T.G.I. Friday
Yeah! It's been that kind of a week. Work has been Uninspiring and I have been getting into all kindsa arguments with my client. Nothing Serious...But puts you off nonetheless.
This Week, one more colleague of mine was assigned to this project and he arrived in Bangalore. He will be staying with us. And he bought an Original Swades DVD with him :) I was pleasantly Suprised. I still remember last year around this same time, when I saw the Movie at Fame Adlabs on a Lazy Sunday. There was nothing pretentious about this movie and maybe that's why I liked it a lot. I mean how many Hindi movies do you get in a year that have some message or Ideals? (It's usually either a cheating husband or Outright nonsense Action stuff). And although, Rehman doesn't create magic with Swades' music, still, hat's off to him. He manages to create the North Indian Village feel to it. That's some versatility. Although, he never needs a Super hit to maintain his credibility, It's time he came up with something special. I don't think he's had any Hindi hits after Lagaan and Saathiya, has he?
Music is keeping me good company in Bangalore. Bless the people who created Ipods and players alike. Recently I have been listening to Remixes from The BED LOUNGE. Before you form any kind of opininons, let me say that this album makes a lot of sense...unlike the DJ Doll Remixes;) I love 'Kya Khoob Lagti..", "Teri chaaht" and 'Meri nazar". try them.
Hope to chill out this weekend. And a bit of reading too. Let's see how it turns out.
